On a recent visit to my hometown in Uttarakhand, I came across an inspiring example: a confident, women-led collective running a thriving ecotourism enterprise in Buari Gaon Known as “Women Village,” it’s a shining example of sustainable tourism and grassroots empowerment. I’m excited to share my firsthand experience of this remarkable model of courage, collaboration, and innovation transforming rural futures.

Nestled in the serene Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, Matholi village- is emerging as a beacon of sustainable rural tourism and women empowerment.
