Improved Sanitation at rural areas being an important area of its working, REEDS has conceptualized an innovative and unique intervention model - WASH RESOURCE CENTRE [WRC] at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh with the support and cooperation of UNICEF and Guntur District Administration, to strengthen the efforts at district level in achieving intended objectives of Swacchh Bharat.

The WRC project was formally launched by Hon'ble Speaker Shri Kodela Siva Prasad Rao on 27 April 2015 at Guntur.

Unique feature of the project is 'facilitate easy and widespread participation of the beneficiaries under Swacchh Guntur (an adjunct District program of Swacchh Bharat Mission) Swacchh Bharat Mission to register their requirement for an IHHL - through a Functional Helpline Centre (with missed call access) where Queries from communities are responded.

WRC is designed in line with UNICEF capacity development strategies to test pilots and innovations at district level and facilitates their replication and up-scale building upon successes.
